Welcome! I’m Marlee, a soon-to-be senior at the University of Virginia. I’ve decided to take what I know and love and help others.
I am very inspired by the Blue Zones of the world (areas with the highest concentration of the longest living people). I believe the characteristics that connect them all (food, community, movement, and meaning) can, and should, be simple and applied to our modern, everyday lives.
The Marlee Method is an attempt at my own twist on the Blue Zones–a place to learn how to simply craft your Meals, enhance your Movement, and create Meaning + Making in the modern world
In the near future, I'm looking to create events centered around this method, but for now I’m offering to be your "personal assistant" in each/any of these areas. First, a little bit more about me:

-
I’m from Long Island, New York, but now I spend my breaks on the west coast of Florida because my parents moved there. I LOVE being outside and having the ability to do activities outside all year, so the move is great for me. I am extremely close with my family.
-
I’m in the McIntire School of Commerce at UVA, studying management and IT with an entrepreneurship track.
-
I have a podcast interviewing entrepreneurs, CEOs, and other business professionals. I've had on the founder of Simple Mills, Mezcla bar, the Travel + Leisure CEO & many more!
-
I’m a certified personal trainer– fitness, nutrition, and overall well being are really important to me. I make sure to do some form of movement every day and cooking + finding new recipes are one of my favorite things in the world
-
I love traveling and one of my life goals is to move to Italy and have a farm there to grow my own food
-
I’m a HUGE country music fan and grew up listening to Zac Brown since I was 8. I wrote my common app essay about country music. Also huge 70s and 80s fan, especially Billy Joel, because ya know, New York.
-
I will be the annoying idiot pointing out a dog on the street. I have a small dog named Cannoli and it has been my dream to have a golden retriever for maybe 10 years now (probably will be one of my first big purchases after I graduate)
